William Egbe

Since 2007, William (Bill) Egbe has served as President of Coca-Cola South Africa. Mr. Egbe’s career with The Coca-Cola Company began in 1997 when he accepted regional general management roles for Coca-Cola West Africa and Coca-Cola Mid-Africa and Islands. In 2001, he became head of Coca-Cola East Africa and in 2005 he was appointed President of Coca-Cola’s business in the 28 countries making up Coca-Cola East and Central Africa, Ltd.

Mr. Egbe serves on the boards of two international beverage-bottling companies in Egypt and Spain. He has also served on the boards of more than a dozen non-profit and professional business organizations in South Africa and across Africa, including Private Investors for Africa, a corporate advocacy group promoting African investments.

A member of the Executive Leadership Council (a professional association of African-American executives in the United States of America), Mr. Egbe is also a lifetime member of the National Black MBA Association in the US. He holds a BSc in Electrical Engineering and a MBA (Finance and Marketing) from Howard University in Washington DC.

General Counsel:  The Coca-Cola Company Eurasia & Africa Group

Michael Chabeli is General Counsel for The Coca-Cola Company’s Eurasia & Africa Group, a position he has held since June 2008. In this role he has general supervision of the Group’s legal affairs covering over 90 countries, provides strategic and operational legal counseling to the Group on a range of business areas including mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures, assessment and mitigation of risk associated with particular commercial practices, litigation, regulatory disputes, and the Group’s overall compliance efforts.

Michael has more than 25 years of law firm and corporate legal experience. He joined The Coca-Cola Company in 1996 as legal counsel in South Africa, and for a brief period in 1999, worked as Operations Counsel in Vienna, Austria. He was named Division Counsel in late 1999. Between 2001 and 2005, he was Competition Counsel for the Company in Atlanta and London, where he provided issue-specific and broad antitrust advice for the Latin America, Europe and Africa operations, respectively. In 2006, he was appointed Executive Assistant to the Company’s General Counsel based in Atlanta, a role in which he supported the General Counsel in the strategic management of the Company’s Global Law Department. He returned to South Africa in 2007 to take up the position of General Counsel for the Africa Group.

Prior to joining the Company, Michael was an associate at Bowens Garlicke & Bousfield in Johannesburg, and for a brief period, an international associate at Ropes & Gray in Boston, Massachusetts, USA. Following law firm experience, he held various corporate legal counseling positions including legal counsel for Shell South Africa, Johannesburg, Group Legal Advisor for Gallo Africa, Johannesburg (a licensee in South Africa of major labels including Sony Music, Warner Brothers Music, Polygram Music), and Vodacom, Johannesburg.

Michael has written and reviewed several published articles on competition law. He is a member of the Harvard Business Review Advisory Council, and a member of the Law Society of South Africa (non-practicing).

Michael holds a Bachelor of Law degree from Fort Hare University, South Africa, an LLM from Harvard University, and a Post-Graduate Diploma in European Competition Law from King’s College, London.

As Executive Vice President and CAO of The Coca-Cola Company, Alexander Cummings is responsible for consolidating key global corporate functions in support of the business operations of The Coca-Cola Company. Mr. Cummings joined The Coca-Cola Company in 1997 as Region Manager in Nigeria. In 2000, he was named President of the Company's North and West Africa Division and in 2001, he became President and COO of the Africa Group, responsible for the Company's operations in 56 counties and territories across Africa.

Chairman of The Coca-Cola Africa Foundation, Mr. Cummings also serves on the boards of Africare, Clark Atlanta University and Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling Company, a public (Athens and NYSE) bottler of The Coca-Cola Company. He holds a BS Degree (Finance and Economics) from Northern Illinois University and a MBA (Finance) from Atlanta University.

Curtis (Curt) Ferguson began his career with Coca-Cola in Atlanta, Georgia in 1983. In 1988, he was transferred to Asia, beginning what would become a long history with The Coca-Cola System in Egypt, West Africa and North Africa. Under Mr. Ferguson’s leadership in 2002, Coca-Cola Egypt received the U.S. State Department Award for Corporate Citizenship by Colin Powell for its contribution to the local community.

In 2007, Mr. Ferguson became President of the North and West Africa Business Unit and was appointed to the board of the US-Egypt Business Council. He serves as Chairman of the Community Service Association and sits on the boards of The Coca-Cola Africa Foundation, the American Chamber of Commerce in Egypt, the North African Bottling Company and Fruital Bottling Company Algeria.

Mr. Ferguson holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons) Degree from Indiana University, and is a graduate of both the Executive development Program at Stanford University and the Executive Management Program of Wharton and Emory Universities. He is based in Cairo, Egypt.

A board member of both The Coca-Cola Company African Foundation and Haad Thip, a bottling partner in Thailand, Mr. Jansen holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Commercial Economies from HEAO Groningen and is a graduate of the Executive Development Program at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.

A teacher by training, Ms. Saunders Jones holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Michigan State University and a Master’s Degree in Education from Eastern Michigan University.

In recognition of her corporate, civic and community contributions, she has received an honorary Doctor of Humanities Degree from Michigan State University, an honorary degree from Spelman College and myriad other awards and achievements.

Nathan Kalumbu is President of Coca-Cola East and Central Africa having previously held senior executive positions in general management, business strategy and operations within The Coca-Cola Company in Zimbabwe, South Africa, Nigeria and the United States of America.

In his current position, Mr. Kalumbu oversees the Company’s business in 27 diverse countries and territories spanning Eastern Africa, Indian Ocean Islands, the Horn of Africa, and Central and Southern Africa.

An 18-year veteran of The Coca-Cola Company, Mr. Kalumbu holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Studies from the University of Zimbabwe and an MBA from Emory University in the United States of America.
He is based in Nairobi, Kenya.

Manqoba Khumalo

Manqoba is the General Manager of Coca-Cola Swaziland (Conco). Manqoba started his career with The Coca-Cola Company in 1995 as a Laboratory Chemist. In 1998, Manqoba was promoted to be a Production Coordinator and he was further promoted to be the Production Manager in 2001. He was then appointed Operations Manager in 2003, where he was responsible for Production, Warehousing, Logistics and Maintenance.

In 2006, Manqoba was appointed CPS Operational Excellence Project Lead where he was responsible for Operational Excellence implementations in Ireland, Puerto Rico, Atlanta and Swaziland. He was appointed General Manager of The Minute Maid Company (Coca-Cola Canada).

Prior to joining The Coca-Cola Company, Manqoba served a year as a teacher at Emvimbeko Primary School in Manzini, Swaziland. Manqoba was educated in Swaziland, where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Swaziland and in Durban South Africa, where he graduated with a Diploma in Business Administration then later an MBA from the University of Natal.

Alfonso Líbano Daurella comes from a family with a long history in the Coca-Cola business. He is currently the CEO of Cobega S.A., the largest Coca-Cola bottler in Spain and also serves on the board of the Coca-Cola bottler in Portugal. Alfonso is the Chairman of The Equatorial Coca-Cola Bottling Company S.L., a Coca-Cola bottler with the franchise for 12 African countries in North and West Africa including Morocco, Guinea Conakry, Equatorial Guinea, Guinea Bissau, Mauritania, Cape Verde, Gambia, Sierra Leona, Liberia, Ghana, Algeria, and Sao Tomé and Principe. Alfonso has been a Trustee of The Coca-Cola Africa Foundation since 2004. Alfonso also sits on numerous boards of private companies and public organizations including as the Vice President of the American Chamber of Commerce in Spain and as a board member of the Spain – Israel Chamber of Commerce. He has been associated with the Family Business Institute of Spain (IEF) since 1991, and was Secretary to the Board of Directors from 2000 up to 2004.

Donald McHenry served as Ambassador and US Permanent Representative to the United Nations from September 1979 to January 1981, as a member of President Carter's Cabinet.
He has studied, taught and worked in the fields of foreign policy and international law and organizations and is a distinguished professor in the practice of diplomacy at the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University.

Holding a number of board and trustee positions in non-governmental organizations, Ambassador McHenry is Chairman of the Ford Foundation International Fellowships Fund and a trustee of the Institute for International Education, the Peterson Institute for International Economics, the American Ditchley Foundation, the American Assembly and the Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt Institute.

Ambassador McHenry has a BA from Illinois State University and an MA from Southern Illinois University, and has carried out post-graduate work at Georgetown University. He is an editorial board member of Foreign Policy magazine and a fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.

Lee Winfield joined the Eurasia and Africa Group in May 2009 as head of Public Affairs and Communications (PAC) based in The Coca-Cola Company’s international headquarters in Istanbul, Turkey. She relocated to Istanbul from her position as Vice President of Executive, Digital and Heritage Communications based in Atlanta, U.S. where she led the development of global strategic communications platforms with a focus on The Coca-Cola Company’s digital presence and increasingly influential social media. Lee’s responsibilities also included the Company’s Annual and Sustainability Reports, Executive Communications, the company Archives, and Transformation and Productivity communications.

Lee brought more than 20 years of international public affairs and communications experience to the markets across the Eurasia and Africa Group. She joined The Coca-Cola Company in Singapore in 1998, and held roles of increasing responsibility on a region, division, group and corporate level. Prior to her three-year assignment in Atlanta, Lee was based in Hong Kong as Group Public Affairs and Communications Director, where she provided shared PAC services for the North Asia, Eurasia and Middle East Group and the East, South Asia and Pacific Rim Group.

Before joining The Coca-Cola Company, Lee served as Director of the International Division of Saudi Public Relations Company and Gulf Consulting Services. Prior to that, she held a variety of international roles in public relations and communications in Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Africa, including broadcaster at the Ministry of Information in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, as well as event management and journalism across Europe and Africa. Lee's interests include tennis, windsurfing and reading.

Sunil K. Ghatnekar has more than 20 years of international experience, 18 of which are with The Coca-Cola Company in finance, mergers and acquisitions and general management. Born in New Delhi, India, Sunil joined The Coca-Cola Company in 1992 as Principle International Auditor, in the Corporate Audit Department. He moved to Corporate Business Development in 1994. In 1999 he took over as Region Manager and Director Bottling Operations for the South West Asia Region (6 countries). In 2003 he returned to Corporate as Group Manager Corporate Mergers and Acquisitions. In 2007 he was appointed Group CFO, Eurasia Group which was then comprised of Coca-Cola’s business in 43 countries across Eurasia. He has held his current position since 2008.

After completing the practical training requirement for Chartered Accountancy, Sunil began his career as an Audit Officer with the audit practice of Price Waterhouse in New Delhi, India. Thereafter in 1988 he worked as an Accountant with the audit practice of Ernst & Young in Doha, Qatar (Middle East).
Sunil is a member of the Board of the Equatorial Coca-Cola Bottling Company, a bottling operation across 13 countries in Africa headquartered in Spain and, the Advisory Council of the Multon a Juice business Joint Venture between The Coca-Cola Company and Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling Company, headquartered in Russia. In addition, Sunil has served on four operating boards of Bottling operations in South West Asia.

Sunil holds a Bachelors of Commerce Degree from the University of Delhi (Delhi, India) and an MBA from The University of Virginia (Charlottesville, Virginia, USA). He is also an Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (New Delhi, India).

With a background in finance, marketing and management, supported by a B.Comm (Accounts), Post Graduate Diploma in Management Accounting, and ACMA (London), Fanus joined Coca-Cola Sabco as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in April 2007 from his position as Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Massmart and Chairman of the Makro board.

Fanus started his career in accounting at Lever Brothers in 1985 where he was promoted to Planning Manager in 1989 before joining South African Breweries (SAB) as Financial Manager. After moving up to Financial Manager: South Central Division at SAB, he was promoted to Financial Director for SC Johnson & Son’s South African operations in 1993. During his 10 years with SC Johnson & Son, he held various high-profile positions such as International Marketing Associate (Racine, Wisconsin, USA), and Managing Director for South Africa, the most recent of which was General Manager for Sub Saharan Africa from 2000 to 2003.

In 2003, Fanus took up a leadership opportunity with the Massmart team as Managing Director of Massdiscounters. Two years later, in May of 2005, he was appointed member of the Massmart board and subsequently became the Chief Operating Officer of Massmart. Fanus joined Coca-Cola Sabco two years later in 2007 in his capacity as Chief Executive Officer.

Since 2007, William Asiko has served as President of The Coca-Cola Africa Foundation and Director of Public Affairs and Communications for The Coca-Cola Company in Africa.

Mr. Asiko began his career with The Coca-Cola Company in 1995 as an in-house corporate attorney in his home country, Kenya. In this role, he held positions of increasing responsibility in the United States, Morocco and the United Kingdom, rising to the position of General Counsel for Africa in 2001.

Mr. Asiko serves on the boards of Coca-Cola Africa (Pty) Limited in South Africa, Beverage Services Kenya Limited, the Discovery Channel Global Education Project and Students in Free Enterprise. He also chairs the Board of Trustees of the Coca-Cola East & Central Africa Limited Staff Provident Fund.

Educated in Kenya and in the United States, Mr. Asiko holds a law degree from the University of Nairobi and an MBA from Emory University’s Goizueta Business.

Dorcas Onyango joined The Coca-Cola Africa Foundation as Public Affairs & Communications Program Manager in 2009. Responsible for TCCAF communications, both internal and external, she works closely with all business units to support programs that are funded by the Foundation. Ms. Onyango is a brand communications professional with eight years of experience in brand contact management for successful brands in the beverage, FMCG, personal care and service industries.

Adesua Dozie is Senior Operations Counsel for the North and West Africa Business Unit. Ms. Dozie joined the Company in July 2005 as Operations Counsel from Elf Petroleum Nigeria Limited, where she held the position of Legal Counsel. Prior to this role, she was Associate Counsel at Ajumogobia & Okeke Law firm, one of the premier law firms in Nigeria. Ms. Dozie holds an LLB from the University of Buckingham, UK, and an LLM in Corporate and Commercial Law from Cornell Law School. She is a member in good standing of the Nigerian Bar and the New York State Bar and a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, UK.
